Most pool chemicals problems are not chemical problems. They are maintenance problems that show up as a chemistry problem. When a pool will not hold its balance, the cause is usually a filter that is not filtering, a sanitizer system that is not feeding, or water chemistry that has drifted for weeks because nobody tested it.

We source and supply the everyday things a pool needs:
- Sanitizers. Chlorine tablets, granules, and liquid, plus mineral and saltwater alternatives.
- Balancing chemicals. pH adjusters, alkalinity increasers, calcium hardness, and stabilizer.
- Algaecides and clarifiers. For prevention and recovery.
- Filter media. Cartridge elements, sand, and DE powder.
- Parts. Lids, skimmers, baskets, o-rings, fittings, hoses, and the small components that are always needed at the wrong time.
- Spa and hot tub supplies. Cover cleaner, filter rinse, and spa-specific chemicals.

When Water Will Not Stay Balanced
If you keep adding chemicals and it keeps drifting back, stop adding and have the system looked at. Common causes:
The filter is not actually filtering
A filter that is not cleaned often enough holds debris it cannot pass, and the result is that sanitizer gets consumed before it can do its job, so you keep needing more. A clean filter is often the entire fix.
The sanitizer system is not feeding properly
Chlorinators clog, floats stick, and salt cells scale over. A salt cell that has scaled up produces less chlorine than the display suggests, which looks exactly like a water chemistry problem from the poolside.
pH is out of range and nobody is testing for it
When pH is too high, chlorine effectiveness drops sharply, so you add more sanitizer and it makes little difference. This is the single most common cause of water that will not hold chlorine, and the easiest to fix once identified.
There is a leak
Ongoing water loss means fresh, untreated water is diluting everything you add. A leak will cause permanent chemistry drift no matter how much chemical you put in. If your pool needs topping up more than usual, that is a leak issue until proven otherwise.
What a Pool Inspection Covers
An inspection is a good idea before you start buying chemicals or replacing equipment, and it is worth booking before opening a pool for a season that has been sitting closed. It covers:
- A full water test across pH, alkalinity, sanitizer, calcium hardness, and stabilizer
- Filter condition and whether it is capable of flowing properly
- Skimmer, basket, and return fitting function
- Pump and motor condition
- Water level and a check for evidence of leakage
- Equipment age, so you know what is coming and can plan rather than react
- Safety equipment: gate latches, safety cover condition, and drain covers
You get a written summary rather than a verbal answer, so you know what was checked and what was found.
Before a New Season or a New Home
Two situations come up repeatedly. The first is a pool that has been closed or neglected and is about to be started again. The second is a home you have just bought with a pool that you know nothing about. In both cases, an inspection before use is far cheaper than the problems that follow starting a pool on bad water with equipment nobody has checked.
